Only invited members of your groups can see your alerts. The security personnel for a public SafeNow Zone will also be notified as long as you are in a SafeNow Zone. It’s important to us that you can decide for yourself who to trust in an emergency.

SafeNow generally works anywhere. You can choose between private groups and public SafeNow zones.

The SafeNow app requires an Internet connection and a GPS connection to work.

The SafeNow app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Your alert will only go out to the members of your personal groups and/or the security personnel of the SafeNow Zone if you are in one.

SafeNow is a free safety app that enables fast help in situations that are threatening to users or others. Professional security staff can be alerted right on site at the push of a button. SafeNow uses Bluetooth technology to locate where inside an appropriately equipped building help is needed so not a second is lost in an emergency.

The outcome is that help gets to you as soon as possible – and you have added peace of mind.

How do I delete my account with SafeNow?

1. Open the SafeNow app
2. Navigate to the menu -> Settings -> Your profile -> Delete account

When you delete your account, the following information is deleted from our systems:

• First and last name
• Phone number
• Profile picture
• User handle
• Location data (as described in the privacy policy)

The following information is retained:

• Alerts you triggered, but without any personally identifiable information
• Logs are stored for up to 30 days and then automatically erased

How do I delete my SafeNow Partner App account?

1. Open the SafeNow partner app
2. Navigate to the menu -> Settings -> Your profile -> Delete account

When you delete your account, the following information is deleted from our systems:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Password
• Phone number
• Profile picture
• User handle
• Location data (as described in the privacy policy)

The following information is retained:

• Alert history for all alarms that involved you, but without any personally identifiable information
• Logs are stored for up to 30 days and then automatically erased

It’s easy to cancel the alarm by simply tapping “Stop alert” before the three seconds are up or “Cancel alert” after the three-second period. Your helpers will be notified that you have canceled the alarm. We still recommend that you send a brief note to your helpers.

SafeNow is on a mission to put safety in everyone’s pocket, so data security, data protection and privacy are top priorities for us. In everything we do, we collect as little personal data as possible. Users always have the option to store data voluntarily and delete their information at any time as needed. Simply press and hold the button on the SafeNow app home screen and release to send out the alert. The alert is sent out three seconds after you release the button.

Currently, an active Internet connection is required to use the SafeNow app. But a weak connection is enough.

The following information will be displayed to your activated groups or the security personnel:

‍Name, so you can be identified

‍Live location (during alert) so your helpers can find you easily – even if you move

‍Cell phone number so your helpers can reach you

A SafeNow Zone is a public area where there are local security personnel working to ensure your safety.

If you trigger an alert here, your normal groups will see the alert along with security personnel, who will come to help you.

Every SafeNow Zone is also equipped with sensors that let security personnel find you even in places that are hard to see into, like restrooms, indoor spaces, and basements.

Don’t worry, your location will only be shared with security personnel if you trigger an alert yourself.

It’s easy to set up a group. Simply tap “Create group” at top left on the SafeNow app home screen. Then you can give the group a name, assign it a profile picture and invite members.

You can find Always Loud Mode in the app menu and activate or deactivate it there. We do recommend leaving this mode on at all times, of course.

Users of iOS devices can find the authorization under:

Settings -> SafeNow -> Notifications -> Critical Alert

For Android devices, it is usually under:

Settings -> Notifications -> SafeNow -> Alert -> Allow interruptions

The SafeNow app is currently available in German and English.

Now you can always reach the people who are most important to you.

To reach friends or family, they need to be members of one of your SafeNow groups. You can either create your own group and invite others or join a group with an invitation link. You can choose whether one or multiple SafeNow groups should be active. All active groups receive an alert when one is triggered.

You can see in the SafeNow app whether you are in a SafeNow Zone. You will find this info in the top left corner of the screen. We also use ads to let you know about this, so keep an eye out for the SafeNow logo.

You can see in the app how many helpers are responding to your alert and where they are located.

Yes. When you register, we will ask for your name and phone number. You can also save an optional profile photo.

If you want to see how it looks when you send out an alert in the app without triggering a real alert, you can simply switch to test mode in the app menu.

Yes. The alert history section of the app menu lets you see when and where the alert was sent/canceled.

So if you missed an alert, you can trace it in the alert history.
